Job Description Summary
Responsible for product quality review associated with manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on Lean principles and continuous improvement. This role impacts approaches, projects, and programs within the functional area and drives improvements in ways of working. It contributes to enhancing quality, efficiency, waste reduction, and overall team effectiveness. The role operates with moderate autonomy and requires strong operational judgment, guided by established professional practices and policies.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Own both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities, including manufacturing processes, incoming goods inspection, product validation, and witness points.
- Ensure compliance and conformance across all stages of manufacturing and product inspection.
- Lead and drive the manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement culture in the Plant through implementation of Lean principles and tools.
- Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives to improve process efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities using Lean tools such as root cause analysis, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous flow improvements.
- Develop and maintain specialized knowledge in the quality domain; act as a subject matter expert and promote best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest technical developments and contribute to strategy and policy development, including Lean transformation initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate Lean thinking into daily operations and problem-solving.
- Use sound judgment to solve moderately complex problems in manufacturing, engineering, and product management, applying both quality and Lean methodologies.
- Analyze data and leverage technical expertise to support decision-making, drive process improvements, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support and mentor less experienced team members; may lead continuous improvement projects with moderate risk and resource requirements.
- Communicate complex or sensitive information effectively and build consensus across stakeholders to drive improvement initiatives.
- Apply influencing and persuasion skills to embed a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / Electrical / Electronics with Minimum of 15 Years of Experience.
- Experience as a Quality leader and Lean.
- Lead auditor in ISO 9001
- Deep knowledge of Quality Concepts and Tools
- Proficiency in 8D, A3, SAP & Lean Expert.
- Preferably certified Six Sigma Green Belt
- Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead teams.
