Job Description Summary
This role will be measured on its customer relationship and the ability to produce financial and operating results for the Gas Power Services SSA business. The Customer Portfolio Manager (CPM) will be required to work independently to manage long-term service agreements. The CPM will be co-located with the respective customer and responsible for delivering high quality customer solutions including new products, outage planning, parts & repair delivery via project management tools.The role includes ownership of the customer relationship & ability to meet internal GE Vernova objectives. Key Responsibilities
Manage the full cycle of Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA) and services contracts.
Manage P&L responsibility for assigned contracts.
Monitor contract profitability, cost control, and revenue recognition while developing and implementing strategies to improve contract margins.
Identify opportunities for additional services, upgrades, or scope extensions.
Coordinate with engineering, field service, parts supply, and outage management teams to ensure successful delivery of services.
Monitor performance indicators such as covered units availability, reliability, and heat rate.
Act as the primary point of contact for the customer at operational and contractual level.
Support customer in planned, unplanned, and forced unit outages. Build strong partnerships within the value chain organization, which will be extremely important to deliver high quality services.
Maintain unit operating history & parts life history on commercially available software.
Maintain record of parts (by model & serial number) currently installed in each unit Develop sales plan for each Customer.
Order/track/validate billing for major/minor maintenance parts and services requested by the customer cost or financial data collection and reconciliation.
Interface with Sales, commercial and Risk teams for new customer opportunities.
Provide information and support sales regarding the latest advancements in conversion, modification, & upgrade opportunities to owner & as well as other up selling opportunities.
Develop and maintain an understanding of power plant or machine-driven industries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or Power Engineering from an accredited university/college.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in power generation services or power plant operations.
- Knowledge of gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and power plant systems with a minimum experience of 5 years
- Strong contractual, commercial, and negotiation skills.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management
- Fluent in spoken/written English
Desired Characteristics
- 9E Gas Turbine, GE Steam Turbine and Balance of Plant (BOP) knowledge.
- Familiarity with long-term parts and services contracts.
- Sales experience with direct customer interface.
- Graduate of Contractual Services Leadership Program or similar experience.
- High-level communication & organizational skills.
- Proficiency with computer tools.
- Strong business / financial skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Technically savvy while having strong business acumen and ability to drive overall solutions/rigor to meet customer needs.
