The Senior Engineering Program Leader – US Projects is a key member of the BWRX‑300 Engineering Projects team, responsible for planning and executing advanced designs for US‑based projects. You will own major design programs and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver on product strategy, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget, and high‑quality outcomes. You will lead and coordinate work across multiple engineering disciplines, product management, sourcing, quality, research centers, partners, subcontractors, and customers, and will be accountable for overall program performance.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Senior Engineering Program Leader – US Projects, you will:

  • Report directly to the General Manager, BWRX‑300 Engineering.
  • Provide program leadership for diverse, cross‑functional teams, with accountability for on‑time, on‑budget delivery of engineering design programs for US projects.
  • Establish and manage the technical interfaces among all internal and external stakeholders involved in the program.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with engineering managers, business leaders, project managers, and other key stakeholders across GVH.
  • Interface with external partners, customers, and US and other applicable regulatory agencies (e.g., NRC) on technical and programmatic issues, as required.
  • Work with functional engineering teams to develop cost and schedule estimates, manage baselines and change orders, and respond to corrective actions.
  • Coordinate engineering interfaces and drive timely resolution of technical issues across multiple engineering disciplines, product management, partners, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Monitor and report program progress, performance, and resource utilization, with particular attention to schedule delays, adverse trends, risks, and quality issues.
  • Partner closely with Finance and Operations to actively manage program budgets, risks, and opportunities throughout the year.
  • Ensure assigned engineering work is delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements, business procedures, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support development and execution of the business vision and strategy for new plant initiatives and strategic programs.
  • Provide guidance on the selection and management of external resources to ensure deliverable quality, flexibility, and competitive cost positions.
  • Champion Lean and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance program execution, efficiency, and quality.
  • Ensure the protection of GVH intellectual property and sensitive information.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in engineering design and/or project/program leadership.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the nuclear industry or equivalent large‑scale new‑build experience in the power or energy sector.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The required work location for this position is Atlanta, GA or Wilmington, NC (relocation assistance provided if not already local)

Desired Characteristics:

  • Practitioner in Lean practices, with demonstrated application to engineering or program management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi‑stakeholder programs, including organizations distributed across multiple geographic locations.
  • Proven track record as a high‑performing, energetic leader who delivers results while building strong, inclusive, and high‑performing teams.
  • Strong change leadership skills; able to advocate for Lean practices, influence stakeholders, and demonstrate measurable improvements.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business vision and product strategy into clear, executable program plans and tangible outcomes.
  • Strong project/program management skill set (e.g., communication, risk management, planning/scheduling, cost control, change management).
  • EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) experience and knowledge, specifically in power plant projects.
  • Solid understanding of nuclear industry regulations, licensing (e.g., USNRC requirements), and technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical and program information to senior leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to document, plan, and manage programs that build organizational capability, technical maturity, and business value.
  • Strong collaboration skills, customer mindset, problem‑solving abilities, and the ability to work to tight deadlines while balancing multiple priorities.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $152,400.00 and $254,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
