Job Description Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Facilities Technical Manager to lead a team of seasoned MEP engineers and Project Management Office. This critical role will drive the development of specifications, Facilities standard work, and ensure compliance with engineering codes and standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership in environmental, health, and safety, and have a proven track record of project implementation.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise and Standards:
- Develop and implement site-specific technical specifications and facilities standard work, ensuring clear work direction and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Own the site infrastructure vision and implementation across multiple sites, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain a document retention system, ensuring accurate As-Built documentation for each facility and managing full documentation updates through the Management of Change process.
Facilities Operations:
- Lead and manage a team of seasoned MEP engineers supporting day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Advanced Research Center spanning multiple campuses in the Capital Region, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Develop and implement a project management process for both large and small projects focused on safe, timely, and on-budget delivery, with target consideration for risk management.
- Serve as the focal point for code and standards implementation across the Advanced Research Center's campuses, ensuring work is completed in a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible manner.
Project Implementation and Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards with a strong emphasis on EHS and risk management.
- Leverage technical expertise to facilitate conversations with the research community, understanding the desired research capabilities and matching that to facilities infrastructure capability.
- Support campus master planning activities as we contemplate the future of the Advanced Research Center.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in industrial facilities engineering roles, including 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing technical teams at complex facilities, including maintenance, engineering, and project management.
- Demonstrated ability to guide building or campus development, including partnerships with general contractors, trade contractors, and governmental agencies.

- Strong EHS knowledge, including OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $152,400.00 and $254,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
