Job Description
The successful candidate will be a strong storyteller and content strategist who can create innovative, audience-centric campaigns and assets that elevate GE Vernova’s visibility, strengthen reputation, and support business priorities in the region. This person will work closely with the Asia Communications Team, regional businesses, global communications teams, and external partners to ensure aligned, high-impact communications across markets and channels.
This role requires a communications professional with 8–12 years of experience, deep expertise in social media and digital communications, strong editorial judgment, and a positive, collaborative attitude. Experience in content creation across formats—including video, digital, web, and executive-ready collateral—will be an advantage for success in this role.
This role reports to the Asia Communications Leader, who oversees the overall communications strategy for the region.
Job Description Summary
The Social Media & Digital Content Lead – Asia Region will play a central role in shaping and executing integrated communications strategies across Asia. Job Description
Key Responsibilities.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead regional social media strategy and execution across all key social channels in Asia, developing integrated plans that enhance brand visibility, engagement, and thought leadership for GE Vernova and its businesses. Ensure close alignment and coordination with global brand team through this strategy planning and execution.
- Manage, consolidate, and measure social media presence across the region, ensuring channel consistency, content quality, audience relevance, and strong governance while identifying opportunities to improve performance and engagement.
- Create and execute rich, platform-appropriate content for social media, including campaign copy, leadership content, employee stories, videos, graphics, and real-time content opportunities that support business priorities in the region.
- Develop and drive regional storytelling initiatives that bring GE Vernova’s purpose, people, technology, customer impact, and innovation to life for internal and external audiences.
- Oversee region website content and digital asset coverage for the region, ensuring timely updates, compelling editorial content, strong user relevance, and alignment with brand and business priorities.
- Contribute video-first and multimedia ideas for digital campaigns and content programs, with a practical understanding of how video can be used effectively across social, web, and internal channels.
- Collaborate closely with global communications teams and regional business stakeholders to ensure message consistency, campaign alignment, and effective localization for Asia markets.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across business units on marcomms, digital marketing, and demand creation campaigns where relevant digital communications support is required.
- Measure and report on communications performance across social, digital, and campaign activities, and make recommendations based on insights to improve reach, engagement, and impact.
- Manage agencies and external partners where needed to ensure timely, high-quality execution of content and campaigns
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- 8–12 years of relevant and demonstrated experience in social media strategy, content development and storytelling across formats, and digital communications, ideally in a regional or multi-market role.
- Experience in content production, including video storytelling, infographics, brochures, presentations, and other digital or visual assets.
- Experience managing or supporting website content and digital assets in a corporate environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Desired Characteristics
- Proficiency in design and/or video editing tools, along with agency management experience, is a plus.
- Creative and strategic storyteller with a strong understanding of social media, digital content, and innovative campaign development.
