Job Description Summary

This role owns and drives the Evergreen DevOps capability that underpins GE Vernova’s managed services strategy, ensuring secure, compliant, and highly automated software delivery for mission‑critical grid control room platforms. Lead continuous improvement of DevOps practices, tooling, and team capability to enable scalable, repeatable validation and deployment across customer environments. Shape delivery priorities, operating models, and ways of working with significant impact on quality, reliability, and efficiency, while exercising strong operational judgment and accountability for resources, standards, and outcomes.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of Evergreen DevOps platforms, including deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps-based workflows for mission‑critical GridOS environments.
  • Demonstrate deep hands‑on expertise with modern DevOps and platform tooling, including Kubernetes and RKE2, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, source control platforms like GitHub and Gitea, and artifact repositories including Nexus and Artifactory, applying these consistently across Evergreen environments.
  • Define and enforce standards for deployment automation, test automation, security, and reliability, ensuring Evergreen services meet ITIL, regulatory, and utility-grade operational requirements.
  • Partner closely with engineering, application services, and SI partners to enable scalable, repeatable Evergreen delivery across customer CRE, non‑production, and production environments.
  • Drive continuous improvement by optimizing tooling, automation, and operational practices, while mentoring teams and serving as a technical authority for Evergreen DevOps strategy.
  • Work closely with project managers and process leaders providing advice and guidance across the regions to ensure compliance with standards, continuous development of people and processes, and effective management of budget and resource-have a deep understanding of the financial data associated with the business. In addition, work with multiple businesses and teams to gather process and system data for integrating into a centralized service management system.
  • Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Services & Digital Business Operations. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10+ years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
