Job Description Summary

Activities contributing to the design, analysis, and development of steam turbine rotating steampath components and solutions for Conversion, Modification, and Upgrade (CM&U) projects. This role supports the execution of technical assignments by applying engineering principles and learning established business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. The position will work under guidance from more experienced engineers while building technical knowledge in rotating steampath design and analysis. Contributions will support project objectives related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and in accordance with business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of steampath solutions for steam turbine applications, with guidance from more experienced engineers.
  • Support Steam Turbine Conversion, Modification, and Upgrade (CM&U) delivery through engineering analysis and design of rotating steampath components.
  • Learn and apply rotating steampath engineering principles to complete assigned work with quality and on-time delivery.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to support project execution and engineering decisions.
  • Use analytical thinking and engineering fundamentals to solve straightforward technical problems with guidance.
  • Build technical knowledge in steam turbine rotating components, steampath design practices, and applicable engineering tools and methods.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve technical processes, documentation, and design practices.
  • Document technical work, lessons learned, and engineering results clearly and accurately.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment through knowledge sharing, openness to feedback, and continuous learning.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Demonstrated experience or foundational knowledge in mechanical component design, manufacturing support, or structural/mechanical analysis.
