Job Description Summary

The Supplier Quality Commodity Leader demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes for the commodity that meet business needs across the organization, lead strategic actions, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall commodity development.

Job Description

What you will do (Responsibilities):

  • Drive standardization within the casting and forging commodity, including supplier qualification, GECC qualification, Manufacturing Process Plans (MPP), and Control Plans (CP).

  • Represent the Supplier Quality function in supplier panel decisions and selection processes, in collaboration with the Global Commodity Leader (GCL).

  • Lead design and technical reviews with suppliers and internal teams such as Sourcing, Engineering, and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME).

  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and 8D problem-solving, ensuring corrective actions are deployed across the commodity.

  • Implement key quality and process improvement initiatives within the commodity, including CTQ (Critical to Quality), Manufacturing Instructions (MI), FMEA, Control Plans, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and APQP.

 

What you will bring (Required Qualifications):

  • Education: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Materials related degree is preferred)

  • Language: Fluent in English

  • Experience: Solid experience in casting and forging, including the manufacturing of critical cast components, process validation and NDT practices, gained in an international environment. Proven track record in supplier qualification and APQP/PPAP implementation, including FMEA, control plans, and leading RCA, 8D and corrective action deployment.

  • Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Certifications: ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor

  • Personality Traits: highly self-motivated, proactive professional with strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills, who thrives in cross-functional, global teams and maintains a process- and results-oriented mindset.

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is considered a strong plus.

  • Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary
