As Technical Team Lead for Recommended Spare Parts Lists, you will guide a team of engineers and contractors responsible for creating Recommended Spare Parts Lists for new units and planned outages across Heavy-Duty gas turbine technologies, Flange to Flange equipment assembled at GE Factories. These lists define the spare parts customers need on their most-current unit configuration to prepare for maintenance events, avoid delays, and support reliable service execution. You will lead day-to-day delivery, strengthen quality and standard work, and help build a high-performing team that delivers with speed, accuracy, and accountability.

Job Description

What you’ll do:

  • Act as the technical owner for Recommended Spare Parts Lists across Heavy-Duty gas turbine technologies.

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of configuration management engineers and contractors.

    • Plan daily operations, prioritize requests, and balance team workload.

    • Monitor team performance, delivery quality, and key metrics.

    • Serve as the main contact for questions, escalations, and priorities related to Recommended Spare Parts Lists.

  • Oversee request intake and validation so customer and business needs are understood before work starts.

  • Ensure deliverables are reviewed for quality, completeness, and consistency before release.

  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve standard work, training material, and team knowledge assets.

  • Work with technical leaders to shape the Configuration Management Services strategy and translate it into clear priorities for the team.

  • Collaborate with Contract Performance Managers, Parts Sales Managers, Field Services, Design Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and other partners to deliver customer outcomes with speed and quality.

  • Lead with accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and a continuous improvement mindset, reflecting the GE Vernova Way in daily work.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Relevant experience in configuration management, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, or a closely related technical field.

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand bill of materials structures.

  • Experience using product lifecycle management and enterprise resource planning systems, such as PLM Enovia, Teamcenter, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a mindset for continuous improvement.

  • Professional proficiency in English.

  • You do not need to know every listed system on day one; we value curiosity, learning agility, and the ability to work with complex technical information.

What will make you stand out:

  • Experience leading technical teams, including contractors, to deliver safe, high-quality results on time.

  • Ability to quickly learn complex systems, tools, and business processes.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures, functions, and time zones.

  • Strong ownership, attention to detail, and follow-through.

  • Ability to build alignment and implement practical process improvements across teams.

  • Familiarity with heavy-duty equipment, spare parts planning, commissioning, outage planning, or new product introduction.
