Job Description Summary
As Technical Team Lead for Vendor Recommended Parts, you will guide a team of engineers and contractors who progress the spare parts needed for vendor-supplied equipment. These spare parts are used for new power plant units and planned maintenance outages across Heavy-Duty technologies. The work includes Material Shipped Direct parts, which are shipped directly from suppliers to Customer sites; Balance of Plant equipment, which supports the main power generation equipment; and Heat Recovery Steam Generator parts, which support steam generation in combined-cycle power plants. Your team will create Supplier Recommended Spare Parts Lists, which help customers plan maintenance, avoid delays, and keep service execution reliable. You will lead daily delivery, strengthen quality and standard work, and help build a high-performing team that delivers with speed, accuracy, and accountability.Job Description
What you’ll do:
Act as the technical owner for vendor-supplied spare parts across Heavy-Duty technologies.
Lead, coach, and support a team of configuration management engineers and contractors.
Plan daily operations, prioritize requests, and balance team workload.
Monitor team performance, delivery quality, and key metrics.
Serve as the main contact for questions, escalations, and priorities related to vendor-supplied spare parts.
Oversee request intake and validation so customer and business needs are understood before work starts.
Ensure deliverables are reviewed for quality, completeness, and consistency before release.
Create, maintain, and continuously improve standard work, training material, and team knowledge assets.
Work with technical leaders to shape the configuration management strategy, which means keeping product and spare parts information accurate, structured, and aligned across teams.
Collaborate with Contract Performance Managers, Parts Sales Managers, Field Services, Design Engineering, Sourcing, and other partners to deliver customer outcomes with speed and quality.
Lead with accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and a continuous improvement mindset, reflecting the GE Vernova Way in daily work.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant experience working with technical product data, engineering documentation, bills of material, spare parts, configuration management, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, or a closely related technical field.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand bill of materials structures
Experience using product lifecycle management and enterprise resource planning systems, such as PLM Enovia, Teamcenter, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Proactive problem-solving skills and a mindset for continuous improvement.
Professional proficiency in English.
