What impact you’ll make?
As a VAT Analyst, you'll play an integral part within GE's Gas Power VAT team, supporting GE's affiliates in European countries. This role provides VAT compliance for multiple GE Gas Power entities and focuses particularly on controllership, preparation and review of VAT returns.

Job Description

What you’ll do

• Prepare VAT returns

• Ensure that low/mid-complexity VAT and associated returns are correct by reviewing them

• Working together with third-party service provider in VAT compliance processes

• Perform VAT reconciliations periodically

• Identify potential VAT errors and work on corrective actions

• Liaise with business VAT managers to ensure compliance with local regulations & business policies

• Participate in European projects focusing on VAT process & system improvements 

• Support VAT internal and external audits

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in finance/accounting

• Written and verbal fluency in English

• Understanding of basic VAT principles and regulations

• Accounting knowledge

• Good communication skills

• At least intermediate Excel knowledge

• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities/projects

What will make you stand out

• SSC/Big4/multinational accounting experience

• Working experience with international VAT regulations

• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP or Oracle
