Job Description Summary
In this position you will fit, assemble, erect, and align turbine components performing all operations on new production work for our Schenectady facility. In this role you will also assist in testing and perform minor inspections as needed on these components. Unload and prepare parts/product for shipment. Move material/product using cranes (level 2) and other approved material movement equipment to perform work tasks. Provide on-the-job training to other personnel as needed. Roles and Responsibilities:
Basic Assembly and test electromechanical assemblies’ fir turbine components including installation, adhesive bonding, drilling, tapping, torquing, lubricating, and wiring
Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and wiring diagrams
Utilize standard tooling to complete work tasks
Utilize the proper chemicals; must be able to understand safety data and shelf-life information
Follow EHS compliance for turbine assembly and test
Perform complete and accurate quality documentation
Assist in implementation of documentation and process improvements
Operate forklift and crane
Maintain manual or computerized records
Must Adhere to and follow all safety procedures, i.e., lock-out/tag-out, report safety concerns, use appropriate PPE as required, and follow similar safety practices
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Desired Characteristics:
1 years of work experience
Previous Industrial Assembly Experience
Ability to read schematics/drawings
Qualified in various manufacturing functions (IE Forklift)
The pay for this position is $28.01/hr. This position is also eligible for progression pay and a $1/hr Night Shift Bonus
